vacation!

Well, vacation was a blast other than the rain, rain, rain, but we will not talk about that :-) On Friday we took Amtrak to Boston and Hailey checked out the Boston Children's Museum.

Saturday my parents, brother and his girlfriend joined us at York's Wild Kingdom.

This is funny because I was telling Hailey when the rides get going to put your hands up in the air and she did! This one of course hasn't started yet, but as you can see from my previous post she was up in the air and put them high in the sky!

On Sunday we left for North Conway, NH. Most of our trip was rained out, but Tuesday we were finally able to take Hailey to Storyland.

Can you say love?! Hailey would not let her go, the princess had to pry her off! ha, ha!

Wednesday Tim and I were able to have a day away and we went hiking up to Champney Falls. The picture doesn't do it justice, it was beautiful and we had a great day just the two of us!

Then Friday we finally had some sun so we headed to the lake to end our vacation!

Hailey-isms

My computer won't let me upload pix from some reason, hence the lack of updates. Since I can't seem to figure it out yet I guess a post with no pictures is better than none at all.

Hailey had her 3 year check-up on the 24th, she is 29lbs and 35 inches tall. I am proud to say her check-up was routine and we were in and out.

The week of her check-up she came down with a 104 degree fever and had it for 6 days straight. No other symptoms just a fever, but of course the fever made her really tired and whiney so it wasn't fun in the least!

Now a couple funny stories ...
The other day I was walking up the stairs with Hailey coming back from shopping and she asked to be carried up the stairs. I told her she was to heavy and she could walk herself - once we maid up the stairs, she pats my leg and states, "I need to buy a new mommy, you are too heavy"! I laughed so hard ...

Then earlier that day Tim left his wallet out on the coffee table and Hailey took out his debit card. Neither of us realized it until Hailey asked me for help. I followed her and then realized she was trying to stuff daddy's debit card in her piggy bank. Smart girl!

Last night she woke up around 3a and came to our bed. This is pretty routine so I told her she had to go back in her bed. I picked her up to take her back to bed and she started crying ... when I asked what was wrong she told me the moose was eating her! I know thats not really funny because she probably had a bad dream, but to be dreaming of a moose eating you?! Where did that come from!?

Well, hopefully I will have new pictures soon!

birthday pix

Hailey's 3rd birthday party was Saturday and she had a blast!

The theme for her party was Tinkerbell/Pirates (for the boys). I told everyone in the invite to dress the part. Princesses, pirates and fairies welcome. As you can see many played the part and had fun.

Thank you to all who came and for all the gifts, she was spoiled!

Here she is the the morning after :-)

Happy Birthday Luke!

On Sunday we went to Canobie Lake Park to celebrate Luke's 7th birthday. All the kids had a blast and stayed out way past their bedtimes, but surprisingly enough they were all very well behaved which made it a good day all around!

Happy Birthday Luke, we love you!

Happy Birthday Baby!

Happy Birthday to the most precious little girl in the entire world! Daddy and I love you loads!

Happy 4th of July!

Yesterday we had well made out plans, but I should know better that things never work out that way. We started off at 10a to visit Meme and Papa and stop at a store to buy an extra beach chair. On our way we got a flat tire.

Thankfully it was close to a VIP, but we couldn't get the lug nuts off, they were literally glued on. The tow truck guy even had a hard time with the air compressor. Thankfully Meme was close by and "rescued" us with her AAA benefits and we were towed to VIP. $120, a new tire and 5 hours later we were finally on our way to Wolfeboro where we were headed to the beach and fireworks.

After the beach, my brother, Laura and my parents met us for dinner on the water and then we set up shop to watch the fireworks.

Elijah and his family also went to Wolfeboro and we met up with them to watch the fireworks.

Hailey was a little scared of the fireworks and so she was quite cuddly, but we didn't mind :-)

The story does not stop here ... on the way home traffic was stopped and my parents car overheated. Thankfully, that can be solved with a little time and a jug of water. So there we sat. This one cost us a couple bucks and about an hour. We didn't get home till 12:30a.

Last year we went to Wolfeboro for fireworks as well and we lost our brakes. I am taking it as a sign that after two years in a row with car problems on the 4th that maybe we are not meant to be in Wolfeboro on the 4th - next year Dover here we come :-)

And these pix are just for fun. Do you believe my 3 year old eats steamed clams like candy?! She also eats olives stuffed with garlic. YUCK!
