Hailey started gymnastics again for the fall. This time she is in a class without mommy and daddy. She is having a hard time adjusting to the structure and being without mommy and daddy, but in the end she does enjoy herself.


This past weekend our friends Kathy and Sidney came up from Mass for the weekend to visit. On Saturday we went apple picking. It was actually a very humid day to be apple picking, but we had fun!



That night Sidney came to play and they girls had fun playing dress up ...
The next day Erin came over for a couple of hours and of course dress up was the chosen activity!

Monday my parents decided to go to the Rochester Fair and we decided to tag along. Hailey was really into it this year and had a great time with the animals. She cried when it was time go home!




Dooda and I squared off in a game at the fair to win Hailey a turtle and guess who won?! Dooda of course :-)

potty trained!

I am so excited to announce that Hailey is potty trained! Just two weeks ago I was loathing that it would never happen and now she is fully trained, no accidents - YEAH! She still wears a pull-up at night, but that is it. She wakes up, puts on big girl undies and keeps them dry and clean all day. What more can a mom ask for?!

ladybug

I found a ladybug in Hailey's room yesterday. Daddy has a thing for ladybugs and came to rescue it from me before I ended its life. Yes, I do not like bugs and I do kill ladybugs if they are in my house. No comments please :-) Hailey loved the ladybug and they had a good time "playing" with it. In case you can't see it that well, the ladybug is on Tim's hand above and on the card in Hailey's hand below. This was right before it flew away much to my dismay!

In past news ... My brother turned 23 on Sep 3rd. Happy Birthday Munca Matt( as Hailey calls him)! His girlfriend made him this great ice cream cake! Notice Hailey helping blow out the candles. (thank you Laura for the pix :-)

So I ruined my camera yet again. I have been dubbed by my dad as the "camera killer". It is very bad because I bought a really nice new Canon point and shoot about a year and a half ago and it already looks like I have owned it for years. So in the meantime until I either get it fixed or get a new one I am borrowing one of my dad's cameras. Yes, one of ... since he is a photographer he owns a few so I lucked out, but I have been warned not to use my camera killer powers on this one. When I was dowloading the few pix I took I found a few pix mom has taken during the day while I am at work. Seems as if Hailey has lots of fun and is definitely not missing any hugs and kisses!

Happy 50th Dooda!

This weekend we celebrated my dad's 50th birthday. So far he as had two parties, one with us and a big one with friends. This coming Friday he will have another party with mom and sisters. What a way to celebrate!

Sadly, I was so busy hanging out and helping out that I hardly have any pix, but here is one of Hailey being silly with her best friend Sidney. Sidney is going to be a big sister in a month and Hailey has never really seen someone pregnant up close and personal before. She kept asking Kathy if she could lift her shirt so she could see the baby. It was quite funny!

Here is one of the only pix I got of my dad at his party. It was a blast though and we had a huge turnout. Happy 50th Dooda! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!


Today, we had a cookout in the morning before Tim had to go to work and then I went with my parents and brother to walk Marginal Way. We had fun and my dad the photographer got the great pictures above and below.

For my birthday Tim got me a bike so we could all go biking together. Hailey whines when she first gets on the bike, but then as we get going she loves it.



On my day off we went biking at Odiorne Point and then went searching for "sea creatures"!

vacation!

Well, vacation was a blast other than the rain, rain, rain, but we will not talk about that :-) On Friday we took Amtrak to Boston and Hailey checked out the Boston Children's Museum.





Saturday my parents, brother and his girlfriend joined us at York's Wild Kingdom.

This is funny because I was telling Hailey when the rides get going to put your hands up in the air and she did! This one of course hasn't started yet, but as you can see from my previous post she was up in the air and put them high in the sky!

On Sunday we left for North Conway, NH. Most of our trip was rained out, but Tuesday we were finally able to take Hailey to Storyland.



Can you say love?! Hailey would not let her go, the princess had to pry her off! ha, ha!


Wednesday Tim and I were able to have a day away and we went hiking up to Champney Falls. The picture doesn't do it justice, it was beautiful and we had a great day just the two of us!

Then Friday we finally had some sun so we headed to the lake to end our vacation!
