birthday pix

Hailey's 3rd birthday party was Saturday and she had a blast!

The theme for her party was Tinkerbell/Pirates (for the boys). I told everyone in the invite to dress the part. Princesses, pirates and fairies welcome. As you can see many played the part and had fun.

Thank you to all who came and for all the gifts, she was spoiled!

Here she is the the morning after :-)

Happy Birthday Luke!

On Sunday we went to Canobie Lake Park to celebrate Luke's 7th birthday. All the kids had a blast and stayed out way past their bedtimes, but surprisingly enough they were all very well behaved which made it a good day all around!

Happy Birthday Luke, we love you!

Happy Birthday Baby!

Happy Birthday to the most precious little girl in the entire world! Daddy and I love you loads!

Happy 4th of July!

Yesterday we had well made out plans, but I should know better that things never work out that way. We started off at 10a to visit Meme and Papa and stop at a store to buy an extra beach chair. On our way we got a flat tire.

Thankfully it was close to a VIP, but we couldn't get the lug nuts off, they were literally glued on. The tow truck guy even had a hard time with the air compressor. Thankfully Meme was close by and "rescued" us with her AAA benefits and we were towed to VIP. $120, a new tire and 5 hours later we were finally on our way to Wolfeboro where we were headed to the beach and fireworks.

After the beach, my brother, Laura and my parents met us for dinner on the water and then we set up shop to watch the fireworks.

Elijah and his family also went to Wolfeboro and we met up with them to watch the fireworks.

Hailey was a little scared of the fireworks and so she was quite cuddly, but we didn't mind :-)

The story does not stop here ... on the way home traffic was stopped and my parents car overheated. Thankfully, that can be solved with a little time and a jug of water. So there we sat. This one cost us a couple bucks and about an hour. We didn't get home till 12:30a.

Last year we went to Wolfeboro for fireworks as well and we lost our brakes. I am taking it as a sign that after two years in a row with car problems on the 4th that maybe we are not meant to be in Wolfeboro on the 4th - next year Dover here we come :-)

And these pix are just for fun. Do you believe my 3 year old eats steamed clams like candy?! She also eats olives stuffed with garlic. YUCK!

Jordyns Ride

This weekend was Jordyn's ride. As with most things, it was bittersweet. Do you see the pix above and below? Yes, that is a happy, healthy Jordyn. How cool is that?! Sad because this time, it not only honored Jordyn, but also Joe. Joe and Robin put so much work into the ride and all the details surrounding it and as with most things life is not the same without him. We miss you so much Joe!

Here we are waiting for the bikes. I have no pix of the bikes because Tim took a video while they were going by ...

On Friday a group of us took a trip to a horse farm. Hailey was able to spent loads of time riding in the ring and Tim was actually able to go on a trail ride which he loved!

After we went to the Maine Wildlife Park where my grammy and family met up with us. Hailey always loves to see Kelly and walked with her the whole time.

Hailey's new favorite saying - "Mom, I love you too much!"

quick update

Here are some pictures from the past week ....

Hailey's friend Sidney teaching her a new skill :-)

puddle jumping and bike riding ....

a busy bee!
Hailey's new cousin Jack :-)
Baby Laila!
Hailey and daddy mowing the lawn
We went to fireworks Friday night and they had this neat little tractor that was transformed into a train, Hailey (and daddy) loved riding it!

On the update front, Hailey is still completely into princesses. To the point where I CANNOT put anything but a dress on her unless I am asking for fight. How do you reason with her when all princesses where dresses? She feels she is not beautiful unless she is in a dress no matter what you tell her. The first thing she asks for in the morning - "mommy can I put my dress on?"

She also has this new habit of coming to our bed every morning around 4am. The strange thing is if I fight and put her back in her bed as soon as I get up for work at 5:15a she is up and in the kitchen with me. If she is in our bed she sleeps through my alarm and getting ready and will sleep in with daddy till about 8:30a. How does that make sense I have no idea, but because she sleeps longer I have given in to her coming into our bed in the morning since Tim gets home at 1am from work and needs the sleep.I do feel though that I may begin to regret this decision because its becoming an everyday habit.

Potty training, what potty training?! I GIVE UP (not really, but I could use some pointers)! I know every mother has her story and I know many who have kids already potty trained and those not even close. We are in the middle, I really think what is holding her back is her stubborn personality.

Lastly, my little girl will be 3 next month, can you believe it!? She is quite aware that her birthday is coming and is over the top excited. She asks me almost every day if its time for her party yet.
