Fairy Houses

On Saturday we took Hailey to Strawberry Banke where you can take a tour of the houses and along the way they have fairy houses in the gardens that were just exquisite. Most of the kids who were there were dressed as fairies and the whole experience was just magical for the kids!

The tooth fairy house ... if you look close you can see the shell, it has a bunch of little teeth in it. Hailey loved this!

Fort McClary and Ashwee's Birthday

Believe it or not Tim and I had a day off as a family last Monday so we took advantage of it and went to check out Fort McClary. My Nana and Papa took me there alot as a child and I wanted to share it with Hailey. Census was that she loved it!

Kindergarten

From Sep.10

Hailey started Kindergarten on Tuesday and the census is she loves it. I was waiting for the works, but she woke up happy and excited, was out the door early, gave me a hug and kiss at the school and was off with her class.

Tim went to pick her up after school that first day and there was a group of kindergarteners by the door waiting for their parents, some smiles, some tears. Then there was a small group in the back chatting, Hailey was a part of that group. I think that is too cute!

Then yesterday when picking her up she told me she LOVES her school and her friends and is excited to go back next week. So all in all it is great first few days and I am quite relieved at how well it went!!!

Happy 5th Birthday Hailey!!

My baby is 5 today! On Sunday she celebrated her birthday with all of her cousins. We kept it just family so that Jordyn could be a part of the celebration. We had an ice cream sundae party with all the fixins. The kids had a blast! What a miracle and a blessing to have all these cousins together, happy, healthy and whole. Each have been through their own trials and yet you would never know it as you watch them play and just be kids. More pictures to come. We are truly blessed.

Happy Birthday to the best little girl in the world. 5 years ago at this exact time as I am typing, 9:29a you came into this world, small and fighting for life, at that moment I didn't know what the future would hold, but it would be o.k. as long as you were in it. You were a fighter and pulled through, just look at you now! I love you more than words can express!

We have been enjoying our fair share of the warmer weather and loving it! I mentioned to Tim that I made the mistake of leaving my sunroof open at work and that the pollen inside my car was bad and I wanted to wipe it down. Not only did the inside get clean, but the outside as well.What you don't see here is what happens when Hailey gets the hose, lets just say not only were we wet, but the inside of daddy's car got it as well!

Saturday Jordyn came over to meet Pip and have an outdoor picnic with us! What an amazing blessing to have her able to visit!!!!!

This Friday I leave to run my marathon in San Diego. It is the first time I have ever been away from Hailey for more than a night. I am excited to see San Diego and run the marathon, but boy will I miss her!!!!

Lately, many nights we sit on the front porch swing, read books and take turns singing. I sing her a song and she sings me one. After a few she just gets plain silly and the giggles kick in. These are moments I will cherish forever!
