if you find spring can you send it up here?

Well, the 5o degrees was short lived because Friday we had ANOTHER snow storm! It moved New Hampshire up the snowiest winters list to second place in the past 135 years. Aren't we all so proud?! If spring doesn't arrive soon I fear I may go insane.

This was Hailey Friday morning - do you see something wrong?! Snow boots, winter hat and coat and its almost APRIL?!Notice Hailey's shoes ... Hailey is in love with Cinderella right now and she found these "glass slippers" in my closet. She loves trying to walk around in them ...

Last night we went to Meme's and all the cousins were able to play together which is always fun!

Do you love Alyssa's new Hannah Montana hair?! She was so cute playing dress-up last night. Can you tell Hailey NEVER cooperates when I am taking a picture!

And in case you want to check it out, many of you know my husband is a wonderful singer and leads worship for our church, but you may not know my brother is musical as well. He actually drums for the band. Drumming is his newest passion, but when he was little he learned to play the piano as well and recently he wrote a song and put music to it. If you want to check it out here is a link to his and Laura's blog where she has a video posted.

50 degrees and daddy's birthday

Who knew 50 degrees could feel so warm?!

Yesterday Hailey saw a little grass for the first time since fall and she ran around on the little patch yelling "grass mommy"! Lately she has also been talking about wanting to go swimming. We can only hope spring is on its way seeming as we woke up with a fresh coat of snow on the car! I can't complain though because by this afternoon it did warm up.

Yesterday was daddy's 29th birthday!!! We want to wish him a very happy birthday! He truly is the best dad and husband, we are very blessed. Hailey and I had fun decorating the house so when daddy came home from work he was quite surprised.

birthdays and bunnies

This weekend Hailey's friend Sidney celebrated her 2nd birthday! She had an airplane theme which was really neat and as always we all had fun.

Can you believe we have had a birthday party every weekend this month and daddy's birthday is this Tuesday. This is getting mighty expensive :-)

Do you love Sindey's airplane jumper suit? She looked adorable!

Amongst the birthday party fun Hailey has had a cold. She is hanging in there and slowly getting better ...

with lots of rest ...

and cuddles! :-)

She had a great Easter as well, the easter bunny left her some goodies which she loved - note to self - save the basket for later in the day or live with screams at 7am because she doesn't understand why she can't eat the chocolate bunny!

Daddy produced the easter program at our church and did an amazing job.Thankfully amongst the colds and laryngitis I got he somehow stayed healthy thus far! Because of the presentation he had the weekend off from work which was quite a treat for us, but all good things must come to and end so back to work we go!

escape artist

Hailey has conquered the art of escaping from her pack n' play. She has never been a big climber so escaping her crib and pack n' play have never been a huge issue. Way back we switched her to a toddler bed so we never even had to deal with her conquering that, but she still naps in her pack n' play. The biggest reason being I don't think she would stay in bed in her room and secondly she needs dark to sleep and her room is so bright compared to ours so we set her up in our room and thats the end of it. Until Friday! Tim was home, put her down and next thing he knows she has escaped. He puts her back and out she comes again ... needless to say no nap was taken that day. That weekend I had the same trouble and we never figured a resolve. During the week my mom keeps her and she naps pretty well, not even trying to climb out of the pack n' play - until yesterday! Then she pulled the same stunts for my mom. I guess its time to figure new nap ideas. I am starting to think I will just put her in her room and if she sleeps, she sleeps, if not she can play quietly for an hour. I would love to believe eventually she will be so tired out she will nap, but for some reason I highly doubt it with her :-)

Do you love the coat and boots? Meme bought them for her a couple weeks ago! She LOVES puddle jumping and with all the melting snow we will have plenty of it. Unless it keeps snowing through summer! It is snowing as I type this - HELP!

Lastly, Hailey is sick. She started with a fever a couple days ago and last night it turned into a nice cold. She was up tossing and turning all night. Getting up for work after nights like that are HARD! Anyway, I know the colds that have been going around are brutal, but I am hoping and praying that she is able to fight it off without much trouble ... We shall see!

Jordyn's Magical Day

Jordyn celebrated her 7th birthday today! What a truly miraculous day after fighting leukemia for 6 of those 7 years. You can't say you don't believe in miracles when you look at her beautiful face.

To celebrate such a HUGE day she had a magic show and the kids had a blast!

At the end of the magic show each child was made a special balloon of their choice. Hailey has a doggy on a leash and Olivia has a princess wand. Olivia and Hailey had loads of fun together and became new "best" friends!

And of course what is a family get together without the famous family pix! Never want to take for granted time well spent with family ...

cinderella and baby brother

Hailey actually sat and watched a movie with me the other night. Usually she won't sit long enough, but it was bedtime and the threat was either sit and watch or go to bed! Bad mommy :-) But it was so nice to actually sit and cuddle with her on the couch (daddy was at work).

The movie was Cinderella, her new favorite. She calls her "Brella". During the movie when Cinderella goes to the garden to cry because she doesn't think she will make it to the ball Hailey looks at me and states - "Brella crying - she needs a mommy"! That melted my heart ...

Also, Hailey has made a tall request lately, she wants a baby, and not just any baby but a "baby brother". This all started because the last two weeks at gymnastics a couple of her little friends have brought their new baby brothers and so she determined she wants one. It has gone so far that all her babies at home now are called "baby brother". Its cute, but thankfully the decision is not up to her :-)

twister, birthdays and SNOW oh my!

Earlier this week we went over to play with Luke and Alyssa. Hailey had fun "attempting" to play twister!
Today we celebrated Amber's 4th birthday and she had the party at a bowling alley. This was Hailey's first time bowling and she did well overall. It was hard to keep her contained and entertained in between her turns, but thankfully Taylor was a huge help!

Also, today is Jordy's actual 7th birthday and tomorrow will be 2 years post transplant! Can you believe it?! What a miracle she is! She is having a big birthday party later this month. Happy Birthday Jordy!

And lastly for all of you who live out of state and can't fathom the amount of snow we have, here are a couple pix my husband took earlier this week (as you can tell from the train in the pix).

Look at these snow banks! Notice the car in the one below, these banks are at least 10 feet tall on either side of the road!

reading on the potty

Hailey loves to see herself on the camera, but that means as soon as I pull out the camera she runs toward me to see the picture rather than actually smile. So this picture below is priceless!

We are still potty training and one tip given is to have your child sit on the potty and read books. Well, for some reason Hailey has discovered a love for this. Does she actually go potty, no, but she loves to sit and read books. So tonight while I was preparing dinner she decided to take ALL of her books and tote them via a basket to the bathroom in order to sit and read!

On another note, Hailey will start going to daycare 2 days a week. My mom who has watched her the first two years of her life needed to get a job outside the home. We found a daycare we like close to home and Hailey starts 2 weeks from tomorrow. I am so happy I have not had to put Hailey in a daycare before this point in time, but now that she is older and "self-sufficient" (ha, ha). I am actually looking forward to her being with kids her own age. She is very social and actually when we went to "interview" the daycare she jumped in playing and cried when it was time to go. So in a couple weeks we start a new chapter in Hailey's life. I think we may be in for a few "bugs", but thankfully its getting to the end of cold and flu season!

conversation between friends

Watching a train go by with daddy ...
Hailey was able to play with her friend Wyatt tonight and they had so much fun! Notice the trampoline behind them. Wyatt received that for Christmas and they practically jumped all night. Valerie and I have been friends since grade school and these two have been friends since about 9 months old and they are at a fun age now. They really interact with each other and play quite well. Tonight they actually had a little conversation about the movie Nemo they were watching. We laughed so hard, it was so cute!

Hailey's favorite thing at the moment is to play with her little figures. These consist of little animals, disney character sets and little people. It is entertaining to watch her set them up and play pretend.

beautiful

My dad took these on our trip last week. We can never get her to smile in an actual picture at this stage in her life, but I think these actually came out beautiful!

On the update front, Hailey has taken gymnastics for about a month now and absolutely loves it. She is really blossoming and talks about it all week. When we started in the class she was beginning her "scared" phase and so in her first class she was scared of everything, but now she jumps on the trampoline all by herself, she tumbles and flips with the teacher and even walks the balance beam high off the ground. Today we were just thinking back to how far she has come in the class in such a short time. It is also great for her to be around other kids her age and she already has made some new "friends".

On the sleeping front she is regressing. She has ALWAYS slept through the night. Even when she is sick she sleeps through the night, but lately she has been getting up and wanting to sleep with us. I am working on putting her back in her own bed, but its so much easier to put her in with us and fall asleep (bad mommy). The trouble is, sometimes she just lays awake and talks at 3am! Help me! Last night she was up at 3am, then up at 6am! I think the reason she is waking is due to noise. Our heaters make noise sometimes and she is now "scared" of them which doesn't help, then once she is up why not come to mommy and daddy's room. So tonight I need to be firm and bring her back to bed even if it means less sleep for me :-)

bust a move

Happy Birthday Kailee!

I love these two pix! Can you tell she is tired though?!

Today we drove north to celebrate Kailee's 4th birthday! They had the party at Jokers and Hailey had the time of her life. I couldn't keep her still enough to even sit for a moment. Needless to say she is TIRED tonight!

The train below was the highlight of her time. It took a lot of persuasion to even get her off to go on another ride.
