Today Hailey did well. She is definitely becoming more alert, especially when we are around. I really think she recognizes our voices and touch! We also think she is starting to fill out. Today she weighs 1490 grams, 3 lbs, 4 oz.
They increased her feeds to 9cc's in spite of the aspirates and told us not to worry about them. She only had one poop today so that is still a major challenge. Pray for poop! They seem to think when she gets the merconium and barium out(which can be like concrete) that she will start going regular. Her red blood cell count is down again so they are thinking about a transfusion, but they said tomorrow they will give her a "blood holiday" where they won't take any blood and see if she recovers on her own. She said bye for now to her Nana, Dooda and Uncle Matt as they leave tomorrow for Maine. Just think - next time they see her she will be coming home! They also had a baby shower for us at work today and we were really blessed.
Love you all! Keep the prayers coming!
